VENICE OPPOSITES
This photographic series explores Venice through two opposing visual languages: high key, which dissolves the city in light, and low key, which immerses it in darkness. The high key images portray a rarefied, suspended, almost evanescent Venice: alleys and canals become minimal signs, delicate impressions emerging from the light. In contrast, the low key images reveal the city in its nocturnal, intense, and theatrical dimension, where details barely surface, wrapped in shadow.
The series brings these two extreme visions into dialogue to present a dual Venice: luminous and fragile on one side, enigmatic and dramatic on the other. A photographic journey that seeks to go beyond the tourist image of the city, capturing instead its shifting character, suspended between dream and shadow.
